Will LEGALIZING MARIJUANA create more teenage DRUG DEALERS?
The answer can be quite scary. But the truth is YES! When marijuana finally does become legalized the generational gap between those who can legally purchase marijuana and those who cannot, will greatly impact the youth!
It is common knowledge amongst doctors or those in the medical field that the human brain continues to develop until approximately the age of 25. The Canadian government plans to make marijuana accessible only to those 18 years and over. (Even though it is with good underlying intentions, this can have a profound negative rebound effect- on our youth)
Quite a majority of marijuana consumers are under the age of 18. When they won’t have access to medical or legal marijuana, what will they do? And, where will they go to procure their marijuana?
The answer to that question is a bit more obvious! The limitation of accessibility for these youths will give rise to a new generation of drug dealers who will sell to children and provide for that specific market. However since many teenagers are in the experimental stages of their life, many teenagers will have access to other drugs along with marijuana from their local neighborhood dealers.
The greater influx of “dealers” will bring in more drugs “illegally”. This will result in more teenagers will be experimenting with illicit drugs such as Methamphetamine, Crack/Cocaine and well as MDMA, Acid, and Mushrooms!
Because these younger users wont have access to legal weed they will be ‘forced’ to obtain their “highs” from different venues. The market will become flooded with drugs meant to be specifically targeted and sold to teenagers, inevitably this will only increase the amount of young drug abusers or addicts!
